We come to you
Catering
From a twenty-person office lunch to a full wedding, we bring the kitchen, the clay pans and the ceremony.
Chefs on site
The kitfo is mixed in front of your guests, not packed in a van two hours earlier.
Full traditional service
Clay pans, mesob baskets, ayib bowls and injera brought fresh on the day.
Coffee ceremony
Green beans roasted in the room, with frankincense and popcorn, run properly to three rounds.
How it works
From the first call to the last cup
Four steps, and we carry everything in between.
Tell us the day
The date, roughly how many guests, and where. A phone call is usually quicker than the form and reaches the same people.
We build the menu
We talk through the dishes, how much of each, and the fasting options your guests will need. Nothing is fixed until it sounds right to you.
We arrive and set up
Chefs, clay pans, mesob and the coffee station travel with us. We are in place and ready before the first guest walks in.
We serve, then clear away
The kitfo is mixed in front of your guests and the coffee runs to the third round. Afterwards the kitchen goes back into the van and your space is left as we found it.
What we cater
Gatherings we know well
Every room has its own rhythm. These are the ones this kitchen has cooked for the longest.
Weddings
The long table, the agelgil, and enough kitfo that nobody counts. We work alongside your hall and keep the coffee going while the speeches run over.
Mahiber
A monthly gathering has its own order of service. We cook to it rather than around it, and we know when to stay out of the way.
Office & corporate
A lunch that arrives on time and does not need a second hour. Good for a team day, a launch, or visitors you want to feed properly.
Birthdays
Smaller rooms, family and neighbours, and a menu that suits both the elders and the children at the same table.
Memorials
Tezkar asks for quiet, generous food and no fuss from the people serving it. We arrive early, work softly, and leave when it is finished.
